Crompton Controls is proud of a heritage spanning over 130 years supplying outstanding control solutions.

Founded by Rookes Evelyn Bell Crompton, a pioneer in electrical engineering who was responsible for one of the World’s first public electricity supplies.  He also installed the first ever lighting supply for Australia and India.  

Crompton Controls continues to innovate as an organisation that naturally responds to customer demand.  An open approach together with expertise in controls and starters, and a strong flexible in-house technical capability, enables the company to be very inventive.

Crompton became aware that several customers were increasingly getting involved in the renewable sector.  Working with some major Solar PV installations, it was decided to research how Crompton products could add value to its customers. 

The results were interesting and common across the board. From experienced Solar PV installation companies to individual installers, and those new to the sector, all face the issue of time, wiring in complex systems often in cramped space and to a deadline.  Crompton therefore designed the fully tested plug and play Combi range of products.  Each model makes it easier and more time efficient for all installers to get the job done with confidence and to a high standard.
