Crompton wins Award

News Release 3 July 2012
Innovation lifeblood at Crompton
Crompton Controls is delighted to have won the prestigious Wakefield Business Award for Innovation. Mark Bradley of Wakefield Express said “Innovation is the lifeblood of business, but it is also the most difficult to categorise and qualify. The winner of this award is a company that has demonstrated how a vision and flair has been instrumental in a business success story.”
Another Crompton success was last week’s Commercial Solar Seminar. Aimed to take the mystery out of how this popular renewable energy can be harnessed to reduce costs in the organisation and improve environmental credentials. Whether an office, factory, retail outlet, hotel, school, theatre, sports facility, public or private building 100% of participants felt their expectations had been met.
Speaking at the event Mary Creagh MP, Shadow Secretary for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said: “In contrast to the weak leadership shown by the government on solar technology, Wakefield Council wants to get solar energy into developments in the district. Crompton’s excellent seminar brought together experts who are leading the way in promoting renewable energy to show organisations how they can benefit from solar locally. I support Solar PV technology because it will reduce people’s electricity bills, it’s good for the environment, and the economy. I hope this seminar will encourage consumer and investor confidence in the technology and drive green jobs and growth in Wakefield and the UK.”
