Graham finds solar PV a particularly useful way to increase the green energy production in a project, primarily because it will easily slot into the roof slope, therefore not affecting the integrity of the building design. It is also easy to fit and retro-fit, and has proven itself to be an economical way of achieving the required energy efficiencies.
EAS has been involved with solar technologies on a wide variety of building types, from small retro-fit schemes to much larger housing schemes and commercial schemes looking to achieve 10% renewable energy. One recent project incorporated solar PV panels onto the roof tops of the town centre car parks at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. This project was designed to provide energy back into the national grid.
Always committed to help, advise and be innovative, Edward Architecture takes its position of trust seriously, and recommends only trusted suppliers to provide the best possible outcome for each project.
Graham Edward says: “As building product specifiers, we’re more than happy to specify the Crompton range of solar technology because they’ve been supplying switch gear to the building trade for many, many years. We work with a number of contractors, all of whom are happy to recommend the Crompton Solar range for its time saving function and its quality.”
